Australian Champion Salpol Gypsy Roselee was one of 5 puppies born to Australian Champion Westbear Pani Jadwiga on the 30th of march in 1992. 4 females and 1 male. Their sire was Megsflocks Beli Benedict .
Of this litter 3 attained Championship status.
Australian Champion Salpol Strezlecki  (Lech)
Australian Champion Salpol Malina ( Lena)
Australian Champion Salpol Gypsy Roselee (Lee)
The other 2 siblings were Salpol Barisa  (Bumbles)who was sold to a Tasmanian dog fancier (and later returned to us along with one of her puppies Barad Bialy Bandyta (Bandit)

Salpol Danuta who was placed with a  family who  loved her from the moment they saw her.

Lee was very close to me and while we were returning from New South Wales (where we had been attending a weekend of Dog Shows ) we were exercising the dogs by the road side and Lee jumped around suddenly and started barking . We did not know  what had happened until we arrived home. As we took the dogs from the trailer I realised that Lee was ill.
As it was midnight when we arrived home, we had to wait until next morning to see the vet.
He and I and his nurse went over Lee, thinking that she had picked up a paralysis tick but could not find one. The vet picked up her foot and noticed two puncture marks.
After tests it was found that she had been bitten by a Tiger Snake. She died a short time later because it was too late to give her the anti venom.
If she had not taken the bite instead of me then I would be dead . She will always be in my memories.

The Salpol breeding prefix was the prefix used by my husband Steve And I before our son joined us in the ownership of the dogs, so all of the Salpol dogs were bred by Steve and I.
